Karen graduated from Dorset House School of Occupational Therapy in 1981. She has more than 20 years experience as an occupational therapist in social services.

Karen’s main interest is in accessible housing and adapting property to enable people and their carers to live at home independently doing what matters to them.  She is familiar with a wide range of equipment, minor and major adaptations and making recommendations for Disabled Facilities Grants.

Karen’s experience covers both rural and urban environments. She has worked where there are planning restrictions, space issues, multiple occupancy or design and aesthetic challenges. She has also worked with a number of charities, home improvement agencies, local authorities and health organisations in both the South West and South East of England.

Karen is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapists and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Sections – Independent Practice and Housing as well as being registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
