An experienced occupational therapist of 16 years working in both acute and community settings, Iain has worked within adult social care, mental health services and rehabilitative settings.  He has worked with clients on a 1:1 basis but has also organised and supported groupwork interventions with clients and managed volunteers and students in providing therapeutic programmes.

Iain has built a knowledge and skill-set in the assessment, planning and design of major housing adaptations and is experienced in moving and handling, seating and postural management, equipment provision and care plan management.

Using meaningful activities to engage with his clients, Iain builds good therapeutic relationships which supports clients in dealing with their personal difficulties and he encourages them to explore their emotions and feelings.
